2013 Toronto Fringe Festival: Radio :30
Chris Earle masters the art of storytelling in this riveting revival
Presented by the night kitchen
Written by Chris Earle
Directed by Shari Hollett
Chris Earle's award-winning show Radio :30 is back at the Toronto Fringe Festival this month where it first debuted in 1999. Directed by Shari Hollett, this engrossing 60-minute play tells the story of Ron, an actor-turned-radio advertising personality who loses his focus (and confidence) while recording a 30 second spot. The smooth-talking Earle is so good in this role it will make you cringe. As he weaves Ron's shady backstory in between studio takes, it slowly dawns on the audience that everything is not as it appears. A genius performance. Highly recommended!
Radio :30 runs until July 13 at the Tarragon Theatre Mainspace. Visit fringetoronto.com for showtimes.
